How it works
Every recurring task and every ad-hoc request follows the same path, so you always know who is responsible and what stage the work has reached.

If something is not right
A reviewer can send work back, but only with written remarks. It goes back exactly one step, so the person who can fix it sees the reason.
Notices and queries
Tax notices, auditor queries and lender requests are tracked as tasks too, with the same review chain, so nothing depends on one person's inbox.
Dependencies across departments
A GST return waits on a closed ledger. A task that is blocked by another shows exactly what it is waiting for.
